Peter's Market

Peter's Market was established in 1934 and has been preparing smoked kielbasa, fresh kielbasa and other favorites inside its famous sausage room. It's Italian Sausage had won first place at the Taste of Cleveland in 1999 and 2000 and still continues to be one of the favorites at many local fairs.

As an old-fashioned butcher shop that cuts and prepares all its meats on an everyday basis, the Market buys all of its pork, beef and poultry locally to ensure that all of the meats come to them as fresh as possible. In turn providing you with the freshest meats.

Did we mention that it is also the home of the acknowledged "King of Kielbasa?" The name speaks for itself.

Sophie's Choice Pierogi

Yes there really is a Sophie... Sophie's Choice Pierogi Company was started in 1986 inside of Peter's Market. It was started due to the fact that Sophie and her husband, Chris, could not find a pierogi that could meet the standards of quality and taste that they were both accustomed to. So with the recipes handed down from her grandmother, Sophie was in business.

At first the product was only available in their store, but due to rising pressure from local restaurant owners, Sophie started producing pierogi for them. In 1988 a separate facility was purchased for the sole purpose of producing pierogi. After mounting pressure from local grocers to supply them with fresh, homemade pierogi, the pierogi business took off and just keeps on going. During the growth of Sophie's Choice Pierogi, Sophie never lost site of why they started, "To provide a high quality product for a reasonable price." Sophie's currently serves close to 200 grocery stores, restaurants, churches and civic organizations.

All of Sophie's products are made with natural ingredients with no added preservatives. They are also made weekly to ensure that you receive the freshest product available.
